This report is a great place to begin learning about the webcast system, including it's history, technology, goals, and statistics. The report was published by BMRC upon completing their research and handing system over to ETS/IST.

Augmenting the BIBS Report above, these statistics provide details including total views per class, average viewership per student (plays vs. enrollment), live vs. on-demand. Stats go back to early days of BIBS in Spring 2000.

Fall 2001 Report (IST/ETS) [PowerPoint online] (external link)

This report presented by IST staff covers BIBS history, technical process bringing BIBS under IST, and Fall 2001 statistics (look for "Webcast Statistics" in left-hand menu.) Statistics include viewership totals, provenance of viewers, live vs. on-demand, and user operating system.

Kudo's for ETS Webcast Project

During the UCCSC 2002 conference at UC Berkeley, the "Webcast Project" received the Larry Sautter Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Information Technology. Presentation topics covered include an overview of the webcast system by ETS, technical background and in-depth statistics by IST, and BMRC's look at distributed collaboration and webcasting research.
